As Bruce Springsteen announced last Friday via his social media channels, an extensive live box with 24 CDs will be released in early February. There are eight complete shows that Springsteen played with the E Street Band as part of the “Darkness On The Edge Of Town” tour in the USA in the second half of 1978. The box will be available in limited numbers.
When Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were on tour in the USA in 1978 with their latest album “Darkness On The Edge Of Town” in their luggage, some concerts were recorded for radio broadcasts. In addition, other shows were recorded between July and December 2018.
The audio material was viewed and prepared for CD presses. That makes eight complete concerts, which, spread over 24 CDs in a limited box set, should be available from February 1, 2021. Pre-orders can be made via this link here.
He will hear recordings of shows at The Roxy in Hollywood, The Agora in Cleveland, the Capitol Theater in Passaic (two shows), Fox Theater in Antlanta, The Summit in Houston and the Winterland Arena in San Francisco (two shows) .
In 1978 Bruce Springsteen had released his fourth studio album “Darkness Of The Edge Of Town” and went on tour with it. This album includes Springsteen classics such as “Badlands”, “Racing In The Streets”, “The Promised Land” and “Prove It All Night”, some of which are still part of the musician’s concert program today.
