NEW YORK – Legendary New Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen is bringing his hit Broadway show back this month for a limited series of new performances, with some proceeds from the tickets going to charity work.

“Springsteen on Broadway” opens June 26 at the St. James Theater on 44th Street, with performances through September 4. That will make it one of the first shows to open after Broadway’s more than a year COVID shutdown.

Proceeds from the opening night will go to charities, including the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County and a variety of food banks.

The original production of the show was a box office success, selling 236 performances.

The public will need to present proof of complete COVID vaccination to enter the theater.
