Bruce Springsteen will no longer perform this year due to health problems. His management announced this on Wednesday via social media.
The 74-year-old rock star is recovering from a stomach ulcer. “He will remain under treatment for the rest of the year, on doctor’s orders,” an online statement said. “All 2023 tour dates will be moved to 2024.”
This concerns a total of 23 performances, in the United States and Canada. Management says all shows will be rescheduled at their original locations.
Springsteen himself gives a short response. “I would like to thank all my friends and fans for their well wishes, encouragement and support. I am getting better and can’t wait to see you all next year.”
Springsteen and his E Street Band were on a world tour this year. In May they already performed in Amsterdam’s Johan Cruijff ArenA.
