The Browns reached their 10th win of the season after defeating the New York Giants with a poor score of 20-6, while the Jets were finally able to get a win over the Rams, and the Patriots were out of the playoffs.
The scoring was opened by the New York team with a field goal after a missed touchdown pass on the third down, but the Browns responded in the second quarter with an Austin Hooper catch for the first touchdown and another Jarvis catch. Landry to add 6 more points after failing the extra.
Finally, the Cleveland team added another touchdown in the fourth quarter on Nick Chubb’s one-yard run, while the Giants scored another field goal to close the score.
The Browns are second in the AFC North with a 10-4 record, only behind the Steelers (11-2), and will seek to return to the playoffs, an instance that they have not reached since 2002. While the Giants remain in the third place in the NFC East with a record of 5-9, which the Cowboys have in second place.
Baker Mayfield had 297 yards in addition to the two touchdown passes, while Colt McCoy, who is filling in for Daniel Jones, had 221 yards.
In other meetings, the Jets achieved their first victory after dominating the Los Angeles Rams, finishing 23-20, while the Cowboys achieved their second consecutive victory, after submitting the current runners-up, the 49ers, 41-33; both are 5-9.
Lastly, the Patriots were left without a playoffs after losing to the Miami Dolphins 22-12. New England hadn’t missed the postseason since 2008.
