Brown Sequard hospital: nurse tested positive for Covid-19

A case of Covid-19 has been identified at the Brown-Sequard psychiatric hospital, in Beau-Bassin.

Indeed, a nurse tested positive. It was determined earlier this week that two of his relatives had contracted Covid-19.

Ram Nowzadick, president of the Mauritius Nursing Association, indicates that a mass testing was carried out within the establishment on all staff. Those who work in the same room as the positive nurse have already been transferred to quarantine.

As a precaution, an isolation ward was set up where several other employees were placed in quarantine pending the results of the PCR tests.
