Großbardorf A 42-year-old was looking for a rental apartment in Würzburg. At the weekend he found what he was looking for in eBay classifieds and contacted the provider by email. After the two had agreed, the rental procedure should be carried out via “Airbnb”. The landlord sent him a booking link. However, this was fake. The victim now booked the apartment via the fake website and transferred the rent including the deposit to a Belgian bank. He suffered a damage of 1650 euros. The man filed a complaint.
