Visar (32) was sentenced to eight months in prison for sending money to a terrorist organization. He must also have previously been convicted of violence.

– The police, however, see no connection between previous convictions and the murder of Mortensrud, it says in the press release.

Denies criminal guilt

NRK has spoken with lawyer Svein Holden who has been in contact with the accused.

– I have been in contact with both those wanted, and both refuse to have anything to do with the incident, says lawyer Svein Holden.

The brothers are said to have left the country on October 9. At this time, they were not suspects.

An apprehended for complicity

A man in his 40s is charged with complicity in the murder of Adan. He lives in Oslo.

The man has been remanded in custody for four weeks.

Eight people shot in Oslo

In the last two months, eight people have been shot in Oslo. Among them is Adan who died of his injuries.

– It is worrying that we have experienced so many shootings during the last two months. The police have full focus on these cases, says Minister of Justice and Emergency Management Emilie Enger Mehl.

Now she wants to strengthen the work against the criminal gangs and networks.

– Our local community must be safe, we can not allow criminals to turn our neighborhoods into arenas for their own criminal settlements and put innocent people in danger, says the Minister of Justice.

Mehl adds that she has taken the initiative for a meeting with the municipality and the Oslo police district next week.

No connection between these shootings has been revealed.
