Action the theft of a Persian cat in Limo, Cinere, Depok, caught on CCTV. Two of the perpetrators, who are brothers, were arrested by the victim after trapped in a transaction cash on delivery (COD).
The incident occurred on Wednesday (18/8) at around 17.15 WIB. At that time, the two perpetrators with the initials SJ (20) and MA (18) were riding a motorcycle and passed the house of the victim’s initials FR.
“Then at around 17.23 WIB, the victim saw from the gap in the fence that someone riding a motorbike stopped in front of the house. But at first the victim did not suspect anything,” said Head of Public Relations of the Depok Metro Police, Kompol Supriadi in his statement, Saturday (21/8/2021). ).
The victim’s suspicions began to emerge when she saw the two perpetrators rushing away after being in front of her house for a while. The victim then checks CCTV footage which is around his house.
As a result, from the CCTV footage, it was seen that two perpetrators stole the victim’s cat. The victim’s cat is known to be a Persian type with a gray color pattern.
“From CCTV, the victim saw the victim’s cat playing in front of the house, then one of the perpetrators, who was ridden off the motorbike and immediately caught the victim’s cat. The perpetrator got on a motorcycle and immediately left with the victim’s pet cat,” said Supriadi.
Arrested during COD with Victim
The victim then reported the case to the Cinere Police, Depok. The two perpetrators were arrested by the victim when he pretended to be the buyer of the cat.
According to Supriadi, the victim initially saw uploads on social media related to buying and selling Persian cat uploaded by the perpetrator. The victim then pretends to be a buyer.
“The victim knew and with the reason for the victim’s birthday gift bargained and made a COD agreement with the perpetrator. Then the perpetrator was successfully secured by the victim and immediately handed over to the Cinere Police for further processing,” said Supriadi.
The two suspects have now been named as suspects by the police. Both were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
