Brooklyn’s Woodhull Hospital Forced to Evacuate Patients After Power Outage from Rain

Brooklyn’s Woodhull Hospital remains closed after a power outage caused by rain on Friday forced the evacuation of more than 100 patients over the weekend.

The hospitalized people were transferred to other health centers and hospitals in the city.

Critical patients were transferred on Friday night and around 120 other patients on Saturday.

The Con Edison company had to cut off backup power to the hospital in order to make repairs.

The city indicated that it could take several days before that health center returns to normal operation.
