NEW YORK – At least six New York City police officers were transported to a hospital with minor injuries after an accident involving an attempted car stop in Brooklyn, according to police and firefighters sources. NBC 4.
According to sources, troops observed an unoccupied black car around 2 p.m. on Rockaway Parkway and Shore Parkway that likely may have been involved in a shooting, authorities said.
At that moment, four people got into the car and officers attempted to stop the car, police said. It was then that the car fled east on Rockaway Parkway and apparently hit an officer in the leg, sustaining minor injuries, police said.
One of the uniformed men allegedly fired several shots, the sources added.
According to the latest report, a 21-year-old man is in custody.
