Four men, aged 32 to 49, were shot dead in New York. Two other men and a woman were injured, a police spokesman told the German press agency on Saturday. The injuries are not life threatening.
The police were called to the crime scene in a nightclub in Brooklyn on Saturday morning. At a press conference around 10:00 a.m. local time, it was announced that illegal gambling may have taken place in the nightclub. A police spokesman said that playing cards and dice found at the scene of the crime suggested this. There were no arrests. The background to the crime was initially unclear.
