/ world today news/ A large exhibition of Chinese cultural relics from the Bronze Age in China opened on Friday in San Francisco, California. The exhibition is titled “Phoenix Kingdoms” and features more than 260 works from the ancient Chinese states of Chu, Zen and Zhou along the Yangtze River, the cradle of Chinese civilization.
At the heart of the exhibition is the mythical phoenix, revered by the people of the southern borders of the Zhou Dynasty. This is the largest exhibition of cultural assets that China has organized in the United States in recent years. Many of the artefacts, including bronze, lacquerware and jade, have never before been exhibited outside of China.
“Backed by in-depth academic research and the latest archaeological finds, it shows the continuity, unity, peace, inclusiveness and innovation of Chinese civilization,” said Li Kun, Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism.
