Bronx Shooting Leaves Minor Injured and Officer Targeted: Suspect Arrested

A minor is injured after a shooting in which another minor was arrested for shooting a uniformed officer.

The events occurred in the Bronx.

The incident took place around 11 pm Friday at 1527 Morris Ave., in the Concourse Village area.

Police officers arrived at the scene and found a 15-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the chest and two individuals who were on a scooter.

One of the subjects fired at the police officers and one of the uniformed officers avoided being injured.

The officer was able to arrest one of the assailants and recover a firearm at the scene.

Charges for the suspect are pending.

The second individual fled the scene.

Paramedics transported the boy to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
