Bronx Man Arrested for Fatal Stabbing in Parking Dispute: NYPD Case

New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested the 45-year-old man from the Bronx stabbed a neighbor to death over a parking space disputewhile the victim lost his life in his father’s arms, authorities said.

Identified as Vladimir López Germán was caught and arrested on Thursday night, less than 24 hours after he allegedly stabbed Dominic Aguilera19, in the chest, right in the heart, outside the apartment building where the two lived on Featherbed Lane, near Inwood Ave.

A father, José Cruz, and his son were preparing to go out to work together when A downstairs neighbor knocked on the door to ask the young man to move his car, with double parking blocking his vehicle.

Aguilera went downstairs and moved her silver Mercedes sedan a few meters away, but López German, an Uber driverstill angry about the situation, the victim’s father explained.

The perpetrator shouted at Aguilera and stabbed him in the chest, entering the heartnamed Cruz, 52 years old. The teenager went out while bleeding at 8:23 in the morning towards a delicatessen near Morris Heights, where his father soon joined him.

López Germán jumped into his car and sped off when the authorities arrived. Witnesses quickly identified the man responsible for the murder to the police, who had to be sent in to hunt for the suspect.

NYPD charged López Germán with murder, manslaughter, and possession of a weapon.

Double parking in the area is common, said the manager of the delicatessen where Aguilera breathed her last.

“People double park cars and block people who are legally parked, so when you want to get out, you can’t get out,” said Wendy Reinoso. “That’s what happened here.”

The woman remembers seeing the victim walking towards the store covered in blood.

“When the boy came in, he was bleeding and then I called 911,” she said. “I was bleeding profusely. “

Reinoso explained that the young man lost his life on the floor of the warehouse when the workers put pressure on his chest.

“Then she fell to the ground,” Reinoso told The News as she pointed to the spot where Aguilera fell. “We stopped the blood, but he died there.”
