Just before the curfew, several vehicles were set on fire in the Parilly district. The police were ambushed according to our reporters on the spot.
The Minister of the Interior quickly reacted on social networks. This is not the first time that the city of Bron has been the victim of urban violence. Recently, the mayor of the commune Jérémie Bréaud was placed under police protection after being attacked in the Parilly district. He had also been threatened with death on several occasions.
Since his election, the elected LR has claimed to tackle drug trafficking in Bron, but tensions often erupt in retaliation.
