In the Metropolis of Lyon, from October 7 to 9, thirty sheep, taken by the Urban Sheepfold, will survey the sidewalks and pedestrian crossings of the municipalities of Lyon, Bron and Villeurbanne.
Each stage, from 6 to 8 km per day, will respect the natural rhythm of the animals and allow them to reach a natural area to rest. Passers-by will thus be given the opportunity to see the sheep, or why not register to become a shepherd for a few hours. Every day, activities will be offered around nature and local products.
The course will stop at Parilly Park this Friday, October 8 at the end of the afternoon to spend the night there, with several evening entertainment. The next day, the route will lead the sheep and their shepherds from Bron to Villeurbanne, passing through the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. The transhumance of our sheep friends will end at the Parc de la Commune-de-Paris in Villeurbanne, at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday 9 October.
Registrations for aspiring shepherds are made on www.helloasso.com/associations/la-bergerie-urbaine/evenements/la-petite-transhumance-du-grand-lyon
