Bron – “Mistakes help you learn”
“What are the conditions for academic success, or is happiness necessary to learn? »: this big question was Friday the 17th, at the heart of the exchanges between parents, teachers and professionals of the Educational Success Program (PRE) at the Gérard-Philipe social center. There were around thirty of them trying to understand what happens to a student facing learning or integration difficulties.

The discussions were empathetic and open. Yes, we lack training say teachers, yes we are helpless in the face of the lack of AESH and the difficulty of filling out files, parents lament.
The participants noted signs of unhappiness: the child who wakes up on time but often arrives late, the child who has no friends or the child who says: “In any case, it’s is too hard for me.”
In an evening where humor was always present, we found, together, answers to help, also to put things into perspective: “Error helps to understand, and therefore to learn,” explained a mother. The meeting ended with a shared meal.
