Once Father Christmas has passed and the gifts have been offered, the time will come to put away the decorations and throw away his Christmas tree, an ephemeral holiday companion. As is now customary, the Metropolis is organizing a network of fir collection points for this purpose from January 5. Last year, 312 tonnes of fir trees were able to be recovered and recycled. Until January 19, 195 points spread over 66 municipalities will be added to the recycling centers to be able to deposit their natural tree without flocking. Compostable tree bags can also be thrown in.
In Bron, the operation will take place at four locations: on the Places de la Liberté, Curial and Jean Moulin as well as at the Essarts neighborhood center on rue du Parc. Note that the wild deposit of fir is illegal.
