Bron. A tribute to Françoise Pietka, a committed activist

A confirmed political commitment

Metropolitan Councilor from 2014 to 2020 and elected to the City of Bron from 2001 to 2021, Françoise Pietka has successively dealt with the delegation of seniors, economic and commercial development, integration, relations with citizens, business public and fairground markets. “Twenty years in the service of the city of Brondillant is not nothing”, attests the mayor Jérémie Bréaud (LR), who did not know her but speaks of a “woman unquestionably committed, attached to her values”.

“Gentle Pugnacity”

Françoise Pietka came from a modest family of Polish origin. His political commitment was rooted in that of his father, a former deportee.

A member of the PCF since the 1980s, “Françoise always had this gentle pugnacity which commands our respect,” says Stéphanie Vella, elected PC of opposition to the City of Bron. From 1995 to 2014, she was parliamentary attaché to Communist Senator Guy Fischer.

The Socialists, Ecologists and Citizens group has also expressed its “deep sadness” to lose this “person who marked us by his investment and his sharp analyzes”.
