ECONOMY. The Brome-Missisquoi Local Development Center (CLD) invites elected officials and business people from the region to its annual gathering, on Monday, May 2, starting at 1 p.m., at Château Bromont.
The objective of the Rendez-vous (RDV) économique is to find concrete solutions to meet the challenges facing businesses and the population of Brome-Missisquoi.
“We will talk about labor and productivity, adaptation to climate change, transportation and housing, digital transformation, innovation and continuous improvement,” says Denis Beauchamp, director of the development at the Brome-Missisquoi CLD.
Grants for social economy enterprises
The Bursary for Initiatives in Collective Entrepreneurship (BIEC) program in the MRCs of Brome-Missisquoi and Haute-Yamaska is in call for projects until March 9, 4 p.m.
An envelope of $20,000 is made available to projects in Brome-Missisquoi and another of $25,000 is reserved for projects in Haute-Yamaska. he scholarships will be able to help all selected projects up to 80% of the financial package for a maximum amount of $20,000. The BIECs aim to stimulate the emergence of collective enterprises and strengthen existing social economy projects in their development. This scholarship program is made possible thanks to the support of the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation (MAMH), the MRCs of Brome-Missisquoi and Haute-Yamaska, and the Pôle de l’entrepreneuriat collective de l’Est de the Monteregie.
