Broken Leg at UFC 261, Weidman Called Kena Karma

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Chris Weidman considered to have karma after breaking his right leg in UFC 261 when dueling with Uriah Hall at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, Sunday (25/4).

Quoted from Bloody Elbow, Uriah vs Weidman duel ended in the 17th second. Before being stopped, Weidman first fired a right-footed low kick into Uriah Hall’s left foot.

However, after the attack Weidman could no longer control his body and immediately collapsed onto the canvas. At that time the United States fighter just found out that his right leg was broken.

The referee immediately stopped the fight and gave Uriah Hall a TKO victory. However, Bloody Elbow called the broken leg incident that befell Weidman as karma when dueling with Anderson Silva at UFC 168.

In the second round at UFC 168 which took place in December 2013, Silva broke his left leg after kicking Weidman’s left leg.

Similar comments were made by netizens with the @BrendonMcBucket account. Weidman now felt what Anderson Silva had felt.

“Chris Weidman has just experienced karma and deja vu,” wrote McBucket.

After the victory over Silva at UFC 168, Weidman’s report card at UFC is not very impressive, only four wins in 10 fights.

In fact, in the last five fights, Weidman has only won twice, while Uriah Hall has a better report card with four consecutive wins or four wins in the last five duels.
