A tree fell on the tracks of the Breisgau S-Bahn on Monday morning and damaged the overhead line. The repair work lasted all day. Now the route is free again.
A fir tree snapped off in the storm completely paralyzed traffic on the Breisgau S-Bahn in Höllental on Monday. At six o’clock the tree fell into the overhead line and onto the track in a section between the disused Posthalde train station and the courtyard of the same name, and then a train drove onto the fir tree. Nobody got hurt. However, the repair work lasted all day, also because a special vehicle had to come from Karlsruhe. Passengers could change to buses in Himmelreich and Hinterzarten.
