“It’s a choral casting, with fairly experienced actors. So that was the question mark: how was Nolwenn going to be? We were open to seeing what was going to happen but it was the unknown for us… She arrived at the first reading and we discovered someone extremely modest, almost shy, apologizing for being there“, recalled with a laugh the interpreter of Claire in Here it all begins.
“A lot of humility, modesty, kindness”
“We felt that Nolwenn was impressed by the casting that was around her and then that she felt a little illegitimate.remembers Catherine Marchal. We said to ourselves at that time that we were dealing with a person who does not arrive on conquered territory and who arrives with a lot of humility, modesty, and kindness.”
“Then, in her work, Nolwenn kept this modesty throughout the filming, this desire to do well all the time and this constant questioning of herself, which, I think, is also due to the fact that her job as a singer requires a lot of work, a lot of technique, a lot of training.“, she specifies.
“Acting is a profession that is also learned and Nolwenn has kept this side of wanting to constantly learn. She was very open to what we could offer her as little tips, tricks or advice. She gave her all in each take and she became, in addition to being a bit of a student of the troupe at the start, a leader too.”concludes Catherine Marchal.
