Brobbey has been involved in eight goals (four goals, four assists) in his last seven official matches. Sneijder therefore seems to expect that Brobbey will be preferred to Memphis Depay in the striker position. “He is such a wonderful striker to work with. Always ready to play, he always holds on to it…”, he names Brobbey’s greatest qualities. He finds it less important that the Ajax striker also regularly receives criticism – Marco van Basten and national coach Ronald Koeman, among others, have been critical recently -.
“Everyone starts chasing each other. We have to stop that in the Netherlands. Now take a critical look at such a boy,” he says. “Then you can’t say anything other than that he is a fantastic striker.
