Seo Min-jae gained popularity after appearing on the reality dating program ‘Heart Signal 3’, but in August of last year, she sparked controversy by posting a post about taking Philopon with singer Nam Tae-hyun, who was her lover at the time.
At the time, Seo Min-jae directly announced the fact of drug use on social media (SNS). He said, “I had the wrong idea that I was using drugs to relieve my depressed mood, but the side effects made me feel worse, and I ended up blacking out (losing my memory) when I overdosed on psychiatric drugs, so I think I posted that. “He jumped (from the second floor) after writing, but I don’t remember a single thing,” he said.

Seo Min-jae then expressed his difficulties, saying, “There are still some aspects in which female drug users are viewed more negatively in society’s eyes,” and “It was a bit difficult to overcome that because the sex aspect was constantly being talked about negatively.”
In addition, Seo Min-jae revealed the reason for the interview, saying, “Having experienced first-hand how drugs ruined my life and ruined the lives of people around me, I thought a lot that I didn’t want other people to have the same experience.”
Meanwhile, in the trial of Seo Min-jae and Nam Tae-hyun on charges of violating the law on drug management, the prosecution requested Seo Min-jae to be sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, and Nam Tae-hyun to be sentenced to 2 years in prison. The sentencing date is the 18th of next month.
