Another setback in ‘Dancing with the stars’: Saturday’s broadcast is canceled after participants Nora Gharib (28) and Lotte Vanwezemael (29) tested positive for corona. After a round of tests, several more people were found to be infected.

Earlier this week, Play4 broadcaster announced that Gharib and Vanwezemael would not dance on Saturday, but there was no cancellation yet. “Our show will continue this weekend, with the four other candidates,” it sounded. These are Jonatan Médart, Yemi Oduwale, Nina Derwael and Delphine Van Saksen-Coburg.
But that has changed. “Since the start of the show, the production of Dancing with the stars een strict test policy, in which the candidates, their dance partners and the crew are tested several times and carefully,” it says at Play4.

“From these tests, several more people turned out to be infected with the virus that is holding Flanders in its grip more than ever. As a result, there will exceptionally be no live show of the most popular dance competition in Flanders on Saturday. But the show will go on: the friends and family episode will air on Saturday, January 15.”
This Saturday, by the way, there is still a bit of dancing on Play4. The movie classic Dirty dancing is broadcasted from the Dancing with the starsstudio will be introduced by Gert Verhulst and Kat Kerkhofs.
