Brno Solitea buys Prytanis, another of a number of domestic IT companies

Czech IT holding Solitea buys another local business. This time he acquires a 100% stake in the Brno company Prytanis. He has been developing since the 1990s United Computers, the product was later allocated to a separate entity. Unis has so far been the sole shareholder.

Prytanis is an information system for road hauliers, forwarding, logistics and passenger transport operators. Solitea invested in the same area at the end of last year when it bought VH Soft. Solitea can combine this offer with ERP or data analytics, which it already offers.

“From the perspective of Prytanis employees, customers and business partners, the acquisition does not mean any change. The company will continue to manage the original executive management and its activities remain unchanged. In the Solitey structure, it will belong to the Medium-sized Business division. The acquisition price is not public and the transaction is subject to approval by the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS), ”states the companies for business.

Prytanis has ICOM, Jablotron Alarms, ESA or CEE Logistics customers. The product is developed by around 25 people, has over two thousand users and manages over seven thousand trucks and buses.

Prytanis does not disclose financial results. In 2019, the current owner of Unis Computers generated sales of 255.2 million crowns with a pre-tax profit of eight million.

Solitea expects revenues of 2.5 billion crowns this year. Over the last four years, Solitea has bought Czech and Slovak companies Aquasoft, Axiom, BI Experts, CDL SYSTEM, Cígler software, Clever Decision, D3Soft, Touchscreen, Dynamica, GEMMA Systems, JKR, Smart Software, Vema, WBI, one in Austria (JET ERP ) and four in the Balkans (Billans, MIT Informatika, SAOP). Mainstream Technologies joined in the summer. The majority in Solitea is held by the Slovak fund Sandberg Capital.
