Litvínov thus strengthened his hopes of penetrating the twelve teams that will play the playoffs after the first win of the season over Kometa. On the contrary, Kometa lost at home after three wins and the places are moving away to the eighth place, ensuring a better starting position for the pre-round of the elimination part.

Gunner Mueller returned to the Comet, but it still lacked three bronze Slovak Olympians. The people of Brno, in the usual composition from the last duels, started actively and in the 8th minute Tansey offered the puck to Zboril, who did not beat Godla up close.

Litvínov also contributed to the cautious pace of the opening act. At the end of the third, Kudrna and Jarůšek made a promising ending, but Čiliak did not admit complications.

Even in the second period, they played prim on both sides of the defense, through which it was difficult to create shooting opportunities, let alone unloaded chances. More of these indications were surprisingly on the side of the guests. Čiliak succeeded in the duel with Kudrna and Straka and solved one of the few renumbering of the Litvínov hockey players, at the end of which was the Zdráhala shot.

Mueller, who, after one of the few mistakes of the North Bohemian defense, found himself alone before Godla, did not end the wait for the goal either, but failed.

The guests deservedly took the lead when he pushed himself through a shot into the upper corner of Kudrna from a very difficult angle. In the last minute of the second period, the otherwise catching Čiliak chose the second weaker moment, after a run-in from the right side, Gerhát beat him with a backhand shot.

The weak Comet chose another weaker moment at the beginning of the third period, after a series of misunderstandings in the defensive zone, Čiliak Sukeľ caught a third time. When Havelka scored the fourth goal, it was decided. Viktor Hübl scored his assistance and rounded his current account to 900 Canadian points in the highest competition.

After all, the comet was an honorable success when Kollár pushed through the power play and took Godl’s fourth net account of the season. But that didn’t change anything about the well-deserved victory of the North Bohemians, which was finally secured by the Irving bomb and thus started the whistling of the domestic audience.
