The 29-year-old Briton is nevertheless determined. Plans to pursue music or comedy. He has already tried himself as a rap artist and released a song dedicated to relations with a Ukrainian – “Ukraine to UK Rain”.

“From now on, she is my priority. She needs my care,” he says of his beloved.

The love story of Briton Anthony Garnett and Sofia Karkadym from Lvov

Sofia Karkadym, 22, moved from Lvov to Germany and then to Bradford in West Yorkshire in May, fleeing the war in Ukraine.

She moved into the home of Tony and Lorna Garnett, who were in a relationship and raised two children, although they were not married.
