The Brit himself says that he did not know exactly what the assignment he had to perform. He also said he had no idea who the victim was. earlier he had already argued that he never intended to actually kill Goraya.
According to the BBC Khan was sometimes in tears in court. The British broadcaster describes him as a “clumsy opportunist”, who in Rotterdam, for example, caused damage to the car he had rented a few minutes before, because he was not used to driving on the right-hand side of the road.
Deep sea fish or tuna
During the trial, it was revealed that Khan had exchanged hundreds of WhatsApp messages with one “Mudz” (or “Muzzamil”), in which the two discussed details of the assassination plot. In it, Khan asked, among other things, “Is it a deep-sea fish or just a tuna?” Mudz replied, “Only tuna, but no British tuna, European tuna.” And later, when Khan said he needed tools for the job: “It’s not a shark, it’s a small fish. A small knife, hook or worm on a thread is enough.”
The identity of Mudz is unknown, although according to the BBC it is likely that he is a British national living in Pakistan. Above him would be another client: in his apps Mudz would have regularly referred to a ‘big boss’.
According to Goraya herself, the Pakistani intelligence services are behind the murder plot. He called on British authorities today to investigate the matter further. “It shouldn’t stop here.”
