Britney Spears will post less on social media now that custody hearing is not brought forward | Celebrities

CelebritiesFans of Britney Spears (39) will have to make do with fewer Instagram messages from the singer for the time being. The pop star announces that news via the social medium. The reversal comes just hours after a judge ruled that Spears’ custody hearing should not be brought forward.

“In a situation where I have felt completely hopeless for so long, at least I still have a platform where I can share things,” the singer writes on Instagram. “Unfortunately there are terrible things and vile lies about me in the news, so I will be posting less from now on.” Britney posts a video of someone making an avocado toast with her message. She also announces that she plans to cook more in the near future.

The post ran counter to a post Spears made a few hours earlier, in which she said: “A lot of you say I should be more careful with what I share, but think about what I’ve gone through. I think I’ve been too careful already.” In that post, where she posted a clip of someone holding a ‘Free Britney’ flag, she also wrote: “I know I’ve said here before that you know my situation, but let me explain: you just know. half.”

Perhaps the turnaround has something to do with the decision on her father Jamie’s custody hearing a few hours earlier. A judge rejected the request for early hearing of the case. “We’re asking for the trial to be brought forward by a month because every day counts,” Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart insisted in his plea. “Meanwhile, Jamie continues to steal millions of dollars from his daughter, every month. her leisure activities, such as her recent vacation to Hawaii, a trip she paid for with her own hard-earned money.” The custody hearing is still scheduled for September 29.
