Britney Spears wants to pay tribute to New York with … a photo of Paris!

Singer Britney Spears shared a photo of a Parisian street thinking it was New York without realizing her blunder.

It seems like a failed tribute. Britney Spears indeed wanted to sing the praises of the city that never sleeps, New York. Except that the young woman has published her tribute text caption of a photo of Paris … Inscriptions in French are however legible on the door photographed as well as a very French name, “Marcel”.

“My heart belonged to New York”

Without realizing his mistake, Britney Spears left the snap prominently on her Instagram account. Here’s what she wrote below the photo:

I’ve always been very curious about doors… especially doors in New York, the city that never sleeps. I lived there alone at 23, for a year and a half, but I never felt alone there, it was magical! I left town for work and left for a while but when I came back it was like a sacred experience !!!! I sobbed when I landed… It had been too long. Doors to me are the outward appearance… you never know what’s really inside… that’s what makes New York so cool. My heart belonged to New York (…). Some would say I’m crazy to share this but most say it anyway so …

Britney Spears very close to her community

Unfortunately for her, it is therefore not this publication that will change the minds of those who think that Britney Spears is no longer in her head. And this, even if she has the right to make mistakes like everyone else. And finally, what does the location of the published photo matter if it is useful in reminding the singer of a city she adores?

It is actually quite a pleasure to see that the artist dares to express his feelings and share his moods with his community. And too bad if from time to time she confuses Paris and New York!
