It has stormed strongly around Britney Spears (41) in recent years, thanks to the guardianship she was subject to for 13 years.
Answering the charges
After the much-discussed breakdown, she lived for years under strict control, with her own father as her guardian. Two years ago, a judge revoked the guardianship with immediate effect.
Since then, she has lived as a free woman, who can do pretty much whatever she wants. Among other things, this has led to her writing an autobiography.
According to Page Six the book, which is described as “groundbreaking”, will be released this autumn.
– Britney’s book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head and her battle with her family over custody, an anonymous source close to the book release told the website.
– Might have been dead
Spears is said to have worked with ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who has previously written for Time and New York Magazine, among others.
The source further says that Spears is brutally honest in the book and that she leaves nothing unsaid.
– This book will shake the world. I also think it will be a groundbreaking bestseller.
It was the #FreeBritney movement, which fans started with a demand that the superstar be freed from guardianship, that really put the spotlight on guardianship a couple of years ago.
