It emerged on Monday that Britney had an abortion around 2000 because her then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake wanted it. She chronicled that story in her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” which was released on October 24. The American Magazine People has already shared an excerpt from the book.
“It was a surprise, but for me it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected that one day we would have a family together. This would just be a lot sooner than I expected,” Britney wrote, who was around nineteen years old at the time, in her book. “But Justin wasn’t happy with the pregnancy at all. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
