However, an acquaintance stated that the pop star hopes to “rekindle a relationship, grow closer, learn from the past and work together to one day achieve a brighter and healthier future.”
In May of this year, Kevin Federline’s lawyer accused Spears of not giving consent to her ex-husband for their son’s move.
Soon after, Spears’ attorney Matthew Rosengart slammed Federline and his attorney in a letter for “creating unnecessary drama and false controversy by publicly discussing this matter.”
Rosengart stated that Spears has no problem with her sons moving to Hawaii with their father and his wife, Victoria Prince. The lawyer called the claims that the singer did not respond to the other party’s requests “false”.
It was later revealed that while Federline encouraged his sons to meet their mother before moving to Hawaii, it was unclear whether the boys would be interested in meeting their mother or not.
