She no longer had the right to make decisions in both her business and private life. Her father, James “Jamie” Spears, and a lawyer, were given full control.
Almost 13 years later, that directorship still applies. Quite a few Britney fans have found it controversial from the start. According to them, it only serves to manipulate and control the pop star. It is – still according to those fans – a cover to make her powerless, put up by deceptive figures who are after her fortune. The # FreeBritney movement has been living online for years, but the recent administration lawsuits have also seen fans showing up at court.
