Britney Spears says she is “a little bit in shock” as she and Sam Asghari are divorcing after 14 months of marriage.
“I’m not going to explain why we’re breaking up because it’s nobody’s business. But to be honest, I couldn’t take the pain anymore,” Spears wrote in a post on Instagram. “My life may seem perfect through Instagram, but that’s far from reality.”
“I would love to show my emotions and tears to show how I really feel, but for some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses,” the singer refers to the time she was under the supervision of her father Jamie Spears stood.
