Britney Spears saw a basketball player coming out of the hotel and gently patted the athlete on the shoulder with her fingertips to ask if she could take a picture with him. After that, according to the portal TMZ, Victor Wembanyam’s security guard Damian Smith hit the singer, as a result of which she almost fell.

Britney Spears’ representatives have appealed to the police with a complaint about the beating.
The singer herself called this incident a “traumatic experience”, which is “nothing new” to her, however, according to Britney, she did not expect something like this to happen to her this evening. “I recognized the athlete and decided to approach him to congratulate him on his success, but his bodyguard hit me in the face with the palm of his hand,” the singer wrote on social networks.
Spears emphasized that she decided to speak publicly about the incident because “violence too often happens behind closed doors.”
The singer explains that she is aware of the athlete’s representative’s statement that someone “grabbed her from behind”, stating that the place was noisy and she only lightly tapped the athlete on the shoulder to get the athlete’s attention. The guard, without even looking, immediately struck in front of the entire crowd. Britney’s glasses were knocked off after an unexpected blow, she herself almost fell.
“People always crowd around me. Also that night. I was surrounded by a crowd of at least 20 fans. My security didn’t hit anyone,” concludes the abused star.

Victor Vembanyama later claimed he was “grabbed” from behind and “pushed by security”, adding that he only learned several hours later that the woman behind him was Britney Spears.
The pop star says that she has yet to receive a public apology. “I have yet to receive a public apology from the athlete, his security or their organization. I hope they will do it,” said the pop star.
