British woman who has twice been ill with coronavirus, celebrated 106th anniversary

106-year-old Mary Nicholson, who lives in a nursing home in the British city of Merseyside, received a wonderful gift for her birthday – she defeated the coronavirus for the second time.

The first time a pensioner fell ill in the summer. Then the fight against the infection was given to her very hard and her relatives were afraid of losing her. But the cheerful old woman recovered, although she again managed to get infected on New Year’s Eve. This time everything went easier and Mary got off with only a cough and a fever.

Already by her birthday in mid-January, she received a negative test and celebrated the victory over the disease for the second time.

Nicholson admitted that she was delighted to have received many cards and birthday gifts after being isolated. Now she is expecting a big party that her relatives will give her after the end of the lockdown in the country.

Answering the question of journalists about the secret of their health and longevityMary noted that all her life she drank whole fat milk, cream, and a glass of whiskey before bed.

Mary, who was never married and had no children of her own, also joked that perhaps her longevity was influenced by the absence of men and delicious food.

By the way, the Briton was born at the height of the First World War and during her life she went through two wars and four major epidemics, writes Daily Mail.
