Last summer 2024, the “Rocketman” interpreter contracted an eye infection in the south of France. This should have serious consequences. Back in September, Elton John posted on Instagram and stated that he could only see to a limited extent. Now the situation seems to have gotten worse again.

Eye infection ‘kind of blew Elton John away’
In an interview with “Good Morning America,” the singer gives an update on the current situation. “It kind of knocked me out and I can’t see anymore. “I can’t read or look at anything anymore,” said Elton John, explaining his situation regarding his right eye.
To make matters worse, the Brit’s left eye is “not the best”. Of course, work on new music also suffers from this limitation. So he explains that it’s been “a while” since he’s been able to do anything. Nevertheless, the multiple Grammy winner says there is “hope and encouragement” that things will get better. He further explains: “I am proud of my attitude towards myself and what I do.” His extremely positive final conclusion is: “I am the happiest man in the world.”
