The Royal Navy took part in an exercise simulating the invasion of the Swedish coastline, an exercise which took place between 17 April and 11 May.

The military exercise, which was named Aurora, was the largest in a Swedish context for over 25 years. It was led by the British naval vessel HMS Albion, and forces from France, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania also participated in addition to Swedish and British forces.

The Express writes that the deceased was part of the crew of HMS Albion, and that he was found in Solna north of the city center after an evening on the town with several Swedes.
