I’m from England myself and have a lot of family living there. I’ve often had conversations with them about Brexit, they’ve mostly indicated that they feel offended by the EU. For example, that there are hundreds of laws about what pillows can be made, that French fishermen force British fishermen out of their own waters. It was also about those 400 million for the NHS. I couldn’t get them to do it.
You know those stories were all bullshit, right? The blue passport was also an example of this. Often these were even proposals that the UK had voted on or even nominated
After Brexit they don’t want to talk about it anymore, they feel cheated by the campaign and the advertisements that have been carried out. In this regard, kudos to whoever came up with it all. But the British population is really not happy about Brexit anymore.
Okay, I’m happy with that. However, I have heard from friends (particularly from Eastern Europe) that the discrimination has only increased and that they are being looked down upon. I hope it will decrease again.
But that’s the main reason I don’t go there anymore. I don’t want to go to a place where I’m not welcome. I have English friends too, but they only come here. By the way, they would much rather do that
