Ellen Lascelles (38), the grandniece of Prince William, has become engaged to the Australian Channtel McPherson. “I am still floating on a cloud of love. On New Year’s Day, Channtel proposed to me. She turned what was an incredible 2022 into an even more incredible 2023,” Ellen wrote proudly on social media.
Lascelles may belong to the royal family, but she does not perform any duties for the British royal family. Ellen is only 74th in the line of succession to the throne and is the daughter of Jeremy Lascelles, a descendant of Princess Mary, who was the daughter of King George V. More details about the wedding are not yet available, although everything seems to be hint that the couple will host a private party in the presence of intimates, perhaps in a remote corner of Australia. Ellen already has two children from her previous relationship with Michael Hermans.
