The holiday season for the British royal family is in full swing. King Charles and his wife Camilla are now at Balmoral Palace, the late Queen’s favorite summer residence, where they will welcome relatives, friends and officials.

Where exactly the family of the Prince and Princess of Wales are resting at the moment is not clear, but that does not mean that there is nothing going on around them. On the contrary – William and Kate appeared on the cover of a magazine, and one that we hardly expected.
They are the faces of the summer issue of Mountain Rescue – the only magazine in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to the mountain rescue service.

The photos in the issue are from April, when the Prince and Princess visited the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales.

There they visited the local rescuers and participated in a number of activities such as carrying a person on a stretcher, climbing, meeting the rescuers’ dogs. Prince William is patron of the Mountain Rescue Service of England and Wales.

From the Mountain Rescue article we learn that the rescue service was alerted a month in advance of William and Kate’s visit. “The visit will be as informal as possible, but with lots of activities and entertainment,” was the wish of Kensington Palace, which is responsible for the program of the prince and princess.
