British rider competed with covid

There was British WC silver in the team competition in dressage, but after the competition it emerged that Gareth Hughes had competed with covid. It was confirmed by his teammate Richard Davison in the mixed zone.

It is unclear if the British have broken any rules as there are no covid restrictions in Denmark anymore.

But according to the International Equestrian Federation’s regulations, a covid-infected person must leave the competition venue immediately.

If Hughes were to be disqualified, Sweden would be moved up to a bronze place.
