Just yesterday, the Queen, who has four children, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, turned down Britain’s “Oldie of the Year” award because she doesn’t believe she meets the criteria.
The “Oldie of the Year” award is presented to outstanding older people who have made a special contribution to the world. Prince Philip, the Queen’s husband who died in April, received the award in 2011 at the age of 90.
