Andrew is being sued in the United States by Virginia Giuffre, the woman who claims the prince abused her three times when she was a minor, and was in the clutches of Jeffrey Epstein. The man denies the allegations, and is trying to end the lawsuit as soon as possible: he claims that Giuffre waived her right to sue him when she reached a settlement with Epstein in another lawsuit. A ruling is expected on Friday.
If the lawsuit goes through, Andrew risks having to pay damages that experts say could run into the millions if convicted. In addition, the costs for lawyers and other legal experts are also rising sharply. To the extent that the prince would be in need of money.
