Striking: the couple, who has a one-year-old baby – Wilfred – had just announced that they would get married in 2022. Barely six days ago, the two had previously sent out save-the-dates. When reporters asked when the two would get married in 2019 after the proposal, Johnson responded that it was “a little premature”.

It is now the third marriage of Johnson, who married Allegra Mostyn-Owen at the age of 23. That marriage ended after six years when it turned out that Johnson was having an affair with a girlfriend from his childhood. He would also marry that woman, to divorce in 2018. The two have two daughters and two sons. In that marriage, Johnson had three affairs. With a third wife, Helen Macintyre, Johnson has another daughter.
