A British man was sentenced on Wednesday to life in prison for abusing at least 100 people. That writing British media. Among the victims are at least three children and mainly women, some of whom are older than 85 years.
The necrophilia came to light when 67-year-old David Fuller was arrested late last year on suspicion of murdering two British women in 1987. The man confessed to these two murders at trial. When he was arrested, the police found hard drives, diskettes, DVDs and USB sticks in his home containing millions of photos and videos of child pornography. Glued to the back of a cabinet were two hard drives filled with video footage of Fuller sexually assaulting deceased patients.
The abuse took place in the morgues of two hospitals in the county of Kent between 2008 and 2020. Fuller worked there for years as an electrician. Relatives of the victims described the abuse as “despicable, sick and twisted” and called Fuller “a beast.” Judge Bobbie Cheema-Grubb labeled Fuller a vulture. “The depravity of your actions shows that your conscience is scorched,” she told Fuller.
The case has caused quite a stir in the local community. British Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced last month that a broad independent investigation from which it should become clear how the abuse could take place for so long without being noticed.
