British Navy involved in the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion

FLY – The Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday (29/0222) announced that a British Navy unit was involved in a “terrorist attack” that blew up the main Nord Stream pipeline.

“Royal Navy operations [Inggris] took part in the planning, support and execution of the plot to blow up the infrastructure in September, “the ministry said on its Telegram channel, as quoted Russia today.

The allegations follow allegations by the Russian Foreign Ministry that NATO conducted military exercises over the summer near the site of the underwater explosion.

The September incident put a gas pipeline linking Germany to Russia out of service. Western countries have blocked transparent international investigations.

The Russian Defense Ministry further said that the same British operator trained Ukrainian citizens involved in the drone strike in Crimea early Saturday.

At the end of September, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that NATO conducted military exercises not far from Bornholm this summer, which included the intensive use of “deep sea equipment”.

Although officials did not name the perpetrators, they said they were “working on the assumption that Russia was behind the blast.”

Moscow has repeatedly denied having anything to do with the incident.

Meanwhile, News from heaven citing a British defense official who said the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines may have been damaged by a remotely detonated underwater explosive device.

At the time, the media reported that the pipeline may have been attacked by mines dropped on the seabed, or by explosives dropped from ships or planted by underwater drones.
